An Evening with Deena Burnett
Wednesday, August 16

Deena Burnett, widow of Flight 93 hero and Minnesota native Tom Burnett, will visit Mall of America on August 16 at 6:30 p.m. The event will include a speech and reading from her new book "Fighting Back: Living Life Beyond Ourselves."

"Fighting Back" recounts four cell phone conversations with her husband during the hijacking and also sheds light on how she and her three small daughters coped after the tragedy. The book continues on to explain how Deena became a forceful advocate for the families of Sept. 11 victims, including asking President Bush for access to the plane's cockpit voice recorder. She also discloses that she recently remarried.

Deena will share with you her inspirational story and beliefs:
* How to fight back without drowning in your sorrow and find purpose and joy in life, even in the midst of extreme tragedy.
* Every single person can have a positive impact on others through the conviction that at some point in each of our lives we are called on to be heroes.
* Heroism is redefined as changing the world through doing the right thing at the right time, no matter how large or small.

Following her speech, there will be a Q&A session and a book signing.
