Paris Bennett celebrates first solo album at Mall of America®
WHAT: Paris Bennett didn't get the "American Idol" crown, but she is polishing her lucky tiara as she gets ready to drop her debut album, "Princess P." Fans are invited to Mall of America® for a special performance and autograph signing to celebrate the release of her first solo album. Bennett's album showcases her abilities and personality.
The national television audience got a taste of what Bennett had to offer when she became one of 24 contestants on the fifth season of "American Idol."
Bennett currently resides in Minneapolis. She began singing at the age of 4, working out her vocals at her great grandfather's church in Rockford, Illinois, Macedonia Baptist Church. From there it was on to local talent shows before securing her first big performance: singing the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-penned song, "Welcome," during the TK Olympics in Atlanta.
