In December 2002, nine-year-old Mitch Chepokas withdrew his entire life savings and put it in envelopes for the kids on the pediatric oncology floor where he was in treatment at the hospital. That day, terminally-ill Mitch made a pinky swear promise with his dad to always help children with cancer and their families after he was gone – and Pinky Swear Foundation was founded in 2003. Join in the mission to support families affected by pediatric cancer with direct financial aid for basic needs like rent and mortgage payments, auto repairs, gas, groceries, and local weekend getaways. Become a keeper of the pinky swear as we count down to National Pinky Swear Day on December 11 by shopping gifts to benefit kids with cancer, visiting our photo booth, or giving a direct donation.
