The Afternoon originated in 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska as an art gallery with a few worldly goods. The name is a reflection of the original operating hours - it was only open in the afternoon. From the beginning the merchandise has been very special and unusual. Today, The Afternoon is more sophisticated carrying a variety of items such as jewelry, books, pottery, frames, cards, holiday, glass and barware just to name a few.
