Come experience the wonders of space and exploration through Virtual Reality with Intel in Southeast Court!

As the nation celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission landing on the moon, experience some amazing sights and sounds as you get immersed in 3D Virtual Reality. A demonstration center will be set featuring Intel powered PCs and Oculus Rift VR headsets showing both the Apollo VR experience brought to you by Immersive Education LTD. and the hit VR experience from Universal Pictures, featuring the hit movie First Man! Both of these experiences highlight the human spirit of exploration and the quest to reach the stars!

In addition to the immersive 3D virtual reality experience, Intel is also offering a series of workshops throughout the day, open to all participants 7 years + older. Participants must register for each workshop via the link above. These classes consist of the following:

•    10:00 - 10:50 – Code2Fly – Understand how drones can improve lives, perform flying stunts + learn about drones with Python coding. Learn how awesome flying a drone can be!
•    11:00 - 11:50 – Design Thinking: Lunar Landing - Landing on the moon is tricky. A spacecraft can go as fast as 18,000 miles per hour (29,000 km/hour) on its way to the moon. Let’s design and build a shock-absorbing system that will protect and land two “astronauts” safely.
•    1:00 - 1:50 – Artificial Intelligence – Learn about AI using python coding to recognize faces, gender + animals.
•    2:00 - 2:50 – DJ Makey Makey - You will become a DJ who uses your sense of touch to trigger notes, sound, or looped music beats. Be innovative and see how you can use everyday objects to play sound, typing or music!
•    3:00 - 3:50 – Lunar Lander Game- Join in the fun in playing this fun arcade trying to land safely on the Moon.
