Karaoke Sing Thing is a contest to find aspiring singers, and provide a once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform in front of a live audience at Mall of America, Moondance Jam & Moondance Jammin Country Fest. You will be helping to support a great cause, Special Olympics Minnesota while realizing your singing dreams. Visit the Karaoke Sing Thing website for more details!
This unique event is a joint collaboration between Keys 4/4 Kids, a local nonprofit that accepts and sells donated pianos for charity, and the mayor’s office of Saint Paul. Together, Keys 4/4 Kids, Saint Paul, the local community and business sponsors will showcase the work of artist/student teams as they ‘artistically transform’ 15 pianos. After the transformation process is complete, these pianos will be placed in outdoor locations for all to play and enjoy. This year, Pianos on Parade is excited to paint pianos as artist/student teams at Mall of America®. During this event, artists will be teamed with a local youth and set free to paint a real, working piano. Our theme, Color-Coded, will challenge artist/student teams to represent and artistically interpret a particular color on their piano.
