Join Mall of America this summer at the MOA Sound Lounge, where teens can hang with the hottest celebrities like Big Time Rush, Megan and Liz, Capital Cities and more.  The Sound Lounge is a place to chill where you never know who you might meet - from local deejays and musicians to celebrities.  Hang for five minutes or five hours – it’s up to you. During the weeks leading up to Special Olympics Minnesota’s Summer Games competition, Law Enforcement from across the state take part in events called “The Final Leg.” The Final Leg is the major awareness component of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Minnesota, and involves running the Flame of Hope across the state to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics. The gathering at Mall of America® will be the continuation of the Minneapolis/Bloomington Final Leg. Bloomington officers carry the Flame of Hope from the BPD Headquarters to the MOA Rotunda, and then deliver it to the light rail station where it will ride a train down to the Government Center Plaza Station. From there it will travel to Minneapolis City Hall and across the Stone Arch Bridge to be handed off to the University of Minnesota Police Department. The torch will then continue on, all the way to Stillwater, where it will make its entrance into the Celebration Ceremonies at the Summer Games!
