World War I: Minnesota During the Great War

Fri, May 24, 2019 – Mon, May 27, 2019

During World War I, the United States sent more than 4.5 million men and women to Europe to fight in the war.

Of that number, more than 100,000 were from Minnesota. Visitors will explore Minnesota’s involvement in WWI as they stroll through an above-ground trench, view a county service flag and inspect artifacts and uniforms from both sides of the war. This activation will remain set-up throughout Memorial Day Weekend, in Northeast Court.
